Adeniums & Plumerias

Colorful Blooms

Unique Shapes and stunning blooms define this easy-to-care for tropical plant. Native to subtropical environments, the Desert Rose naturally stores water in its trunk during the rainy periods to survive the dry season. Exquisite blooms will emerge late spring through summer as temperatures warm up.

Adenium Care

  • During late spring and summer, water as soil becomes thoroughly dry. During fall and winter, water very little or not at all, as the plant goes dormant until spring.

  • Place in bright sunlight indoors or out. Does better with direct sunlight but will tolerate moderate indirect light.

  • Fertilize in spring and summer with a 20-20-20 mix that is diluted by half.

  • Does better in warm temperatures. Place in areas not exposed to frost.

Plumerias

Plumerias are popular tropical flowering plants with gorgeous fragrant flowers. You might know them better as a Hawaiian lei plant or flowers. A welcoming Hawaiian tradition is to be greeted with a plumeria lei. You can find them growing outdoors in warmer tropical climates and in pots in cooler areas too. With proper care a potted plumeria plant can thrive and bloom year after year.
